MEET OUR HOUSE RABBITS!
CONTACT US
Meet our current bunnies!
WMRR only adopts out rabbits that have been spayed or neutered. We routinely vaccinate our rabbits for RHDV2; if you decide to adopt a rabbit who is between their initial and booster, we will ask that you bring the bunny back for their booster day.

Sometimes, foster bunnies might not yet be fixed, but we would work with the foster families to have that done while in their care, along with having them vaccinated for RHDV2.

Bunnies may be housed indoors only.

We do not adopt out to schools, 4H, or breeders.
However, we do have an awesome educational program we can bring to your classroom, scout meeting, birthday party, etc. to teach kids about bunny care and offer the opportunity to pet and interact with a friendly bunny!

Bunnies must be vaccinated for RHDV2 before they may be brought to the shelter for bonding dates. The vaccine has recently been approved in Massachusetts, so check with your veterinarian about getting your bunny up to date.

Some of our rabbits are in the process of bonding with rabbits outside our rescue. Bonding can take time, and since not all bonding works, we keep rabbits listed up here until they have been adopted.
Bunnies Available for Adoption
The rabbits below are all eagerly looking for their forever homes!
Any rabbits living in the shelter may also be fostered; rabbits are happiest in homes, even when waiting for their forever families.

Hilda and her sister Zelda came to WMRR as an owner surrender. Hilda is quite overweight and has been drinking and peeing a lot, and the vet found a mass on her bladder, which was removed this past week. Hilda is recovering beautifully and will be available for adoption once she is medically cleared.

Hilda is fully vaccinated for RHDV2.

*AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION*
foster bunnies
Peggy and Angelica first came to WMRR in late 2021 from a backyard breeding operationan are so ready for their forever home. They are sweet, curious sisters who enjoy “bunstruction”—but with some bunnyproofing and attention, they will thrive in a forever home.

Peggy & Angelica are fully vaccinated for RHDV2.

Fribble

Female, Senior
*AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION*
foster bunny
Fribble came to WMRR after being bounced around from home to home to home after her original owners were no longer able to take care of her. This adorable girl is a dwarf mix and has the attitude to go with it! She gets very excited during feeding time, but then she will turn into a puddle when being pet. Every night she expects a cookie before bed, which is usually an Oxbow treat.

Fribble is NINE years old! She is ready to find her forever home where she live out her golden years.

Fribble is fully vaccinated for RHDV2.

Honey

Female, Adult
*AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION*
foster bunny
Honey came to WMRR after being rescued from a situation where her owners were not the most savory of characters. Fortunately, the ACO came to the rescue and Honey was eventually placed in our care. She is a sweet lionhead who loves snuggles.

Honey is fully vaccinated for RHDV2.

Leopold

Male, Young Adult
*AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ADOPTION*
foster bunny
Leopold was rescued from a situation where he was in danger and brought to WMRR. He is a sweet boy who loves to explore, binky, and flop! Leopold is a very well-behaved bunny and can't wait to find his forever home!

Leopold is not yet vaccinated for RHDV2.

Earl Grey

Male, Adult
*AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION*
foster bunny
Earl Grey is a big, handsome and regal boy. He has one brown eye, and one half blue and brown. Like his brother, Poppy, Grey is also unsure of how he feels about attention, but will run around and boop you with his nose if you sit with him. Once he’s comfortable, he’ll let you give him head pets, and will stick his nose high in the air. Grey does NOT like slippery floors, and will let you know with his audible *THUMP* of disapproval!

Earl Grey is fully vaccinated for RHDV2.

Poppy

Male, Adult
*AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION*
foster bunny
Poppy is a big, sweet fuzzy boy with beautiful blue eyes. He is usually unsure of how he feels about attention, but he’ll eventually warm up to you and will accept some head pets. However, if you sit on the floor with him, be prepared for him to try and shove his entire snoot in your mouth!Poppy is a very friendly gentle giant, and is very food motivated. He’ll make you laugh by trying his best to stand up on his back legs while begging for treats. Poppy both plays hard and snoozes hard—if he’s not playing with his toys, he’s fast asleep in his bed.

Poppy is fully vaccinated for RHDV2.

Hamantaschen

Male, Adult
*AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ADOPTION*
foster bunny
Hamantaschen was brought to us as an owner surrender due to allergies. His owners thought he was a spayed female, but he was, in fact, an intact male. Oops! Fortunately, he was not living with other rabbits, and we have since had him neutered.

Hamantaschen is not yet vaccinated for RHDV2.

Bean

Female, Adult
*AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ADOPTION*
shelter bunny
Bean is sassy, opinionated gal with both a spicy and sweet personality—she will pounce on blankets but turns into a puddle of mush when she receives pets. She also has the cutest helicopter ears!Beanie has great litterbox habits and loves to lounge on her bed. She doesn’t like having her things rearranged but will forgive you for cleaning her pen if you give her lots of love.

Bean will be happiest in a home with no other rabbits, and we think she will be a good candidate for free roaming in a bunny-proofed home or room.

Bean is not yet vaccinated for RHDV2.

Furby

Male, Adult
foster bunny
Furby came to WMRR heavily matted and unable to move on his own. After hours of grooming, we finally removed over two pounds of matted fur. He is doing much better now in his foster home with his new best friend, a lovely feline named Bear.
