MEET OUR HOUSE RABBITS!
CONTACT US
Meet our current bunnies!
WMRR only adopts out rabbits that have been spayed or neutered. We routinely vaccinate our rabbits for RHDV2; if you decide to adopt a rabbit who is between their initial and booster, we will ask that you bring the bunny back for their booster day.

Sometimes, foster bunnies might not yet be fixed, but we would work with the foster families to have that done while in their care, along with having them vaccinated for RHDV2.

Bunnies may be housed indoors only.

We do not adopt out to schools, 4H, or breeders.
However, we do have an awesome educational program we can bring to your classroom, scout meeting, birthday party, etc. to teach kids about bunny care and offer the opportunity to pet and interact with a friendly bunny!

Bunnies must be vaccinated for RHDV2 before they may be brought to the shelter for bonding dates. The vaccine has recently been approved in Massachusetts, so check with your veterinarian about getting your bunny up to date.

Some of our rabbits are in the process of bonding with rabbits outside our rescue. Bonding can take time, and since not all bonding works, we keep rabbits listed up here until they have been adopted.
Bunnies Available for Adoption
The rabbits below are all eagerly looking for their forever homes!
Any rabbits living in the shelter may also be fostered; rabbits are happiest in homes, even when waiting for their forever families.

Hilda

Female, Adult
*AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ADOPTION*
foster bunny
Hilda and her sister Zelda came to WMRR as an owner surrender. Hilda is quite overweight and has been drinking and peeing a lot, and the vet found a mass on her bladder, which was removed this past week. Hilda is recovering beautifully and will be available for adoption once she is medically cleared.

Hilda is partially vaccinated for RHDV2.

Oolong & Ceylon

Females, Adult
*AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION*
foster bunnies
Oolong (left) and Ceylon are both Astrea's kits. They are very active girls who enjoy playing with toys and running around. They are a little shy but very closely bonded and curious.

Oolong and Ceylon are fully vaccinated for RHDV2.

Coco

Female, Senior
*AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ADOPTION*
foster bunny
Coco came to WMRR as an owner surrender. She is about 6 or 7 years old and is very sweet but also  a little shy. She is seeking a forever home where she can live her best years surrounded by love.

Coco is partially vaccinated for RHDV2.

Peggy & Angelica

Females, Adult
*AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION*
foster bunnies
Peggy and Angelica first came to WMRR in late 2021 from a backyard breeding operation.

Peggy and Angelica are both New Zealands, with beautiful white coats and soulful, pomegranate eyes.

Peggy & Angelica are fully vaccinated for RHDV2.

Fribble

Female, Senior
*AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ADOPTION*
foster bunny
Fribble came to WMRR after being bounced around from home to home to home after her original owners were no longer able to take care of her. This adorable girl is a dwarf mix and has the attitude to go with it! She gets very excited during feeding time, but then she will turn into a puddle when being pet. Every night she expects a cookie before bed, which is usually an Oxbow treat.

Fribble is NINE years old! She is ready to find her forever home where she live out her golden years.

Fribble is fully vaccinated for RHDV2.
Other Bunnies In Our Rescue
The rabbits listed below are available to be fostered, are pending adoption, or are not yet ready for adoption.

Kewpie

Male, Adult
foster bunny
Kewpie was rescued from a neighborhood where he was found roaming. He was in rough shape; we got him on a good diet, but concerned he might have a parasite from his time outdoors, we ran some tests. Lo and behold, he had TWO parasites! We treated him and he is now comfortably settled with his foster family, who plans to adopt him once he's neutered.

Kewpie is fully vaccinated for RHDV2.

Leopold

Male, Young Adult
foster bunny
Leopold was rescued from a situation where he was in danger and brought to WMRR. He is a sweet but shy boy, and very well behaved!

Leopold is not yet vaccinated for RHDV2.

Wilbur

Male, Young Adult
ADOPTION PENDING BONDING
foster bunny
Wilbur was rescued along with his brother, Orville, after they were gifted to children as Easter presents—without any research or regard to how two unfixed male rabbits will behave. We took them in only days after Easter.

Wilbur is a super friendly boy and his foster family hopes that he will bond with their own bunny!

Wilbur is fully vaccinated for RHDV2.

Earl Grey & Poppy

Males, Adult
foster bunnies
Poppy and Earl Grey are big, friendly, handsome brothers who came to WMRR as a rehome. These boys are very sweet, but unfortunately, as they haven't had routine veterinary care, they came to us in rough shape. Poppy is healing from a mouth infection and both boys are underweight. We are in the process of bonding the two brothers back together, after which they will be adoptable as a pair.

Poppy and Earl Grey are fully vaccinated for RHDV2.

Sugar Plum

Female, Young Adult
*ADOPTION PENDING SPAY*
shelter bunny
Sugar Plum came to WMRR after being found on a doorstep on Christmas Eve. The kind people who found her took her in and brought her to us. Sugar Plum is a shy but sweet girl, and once she is spayed, her foster family plans on adopting her.

Sugar Plum is fully vaccinated for RHDV2.

Honey

Female, Adult
foster bunny
Honey came to WMRR after being rescued from a situation where her owners were not the most savory of characters. Fortunately, the ACO came to the rescue and Honey was eventually placed in our care. She is a sweet but timid lionhead. Honey is due to be spayed in March, after which she will become available for adoption.

Honey is fully vaccinated for RHDV2.

Pancake and Waffles

Females, Adult
shelter bunnies
Pancake and her sister Waffles are just the cutest, friendliest girls! They are a year and a half years old and currently have a baby bond, and we hope to bond them back after they've been spayed in March.

Pancake and Waffles are not yet vaccinated for RHDV2.

Victor & Hugo

Males, Juveniles
shelter bunnies
Victor and his brother Hugo are energetic, friendly bunnies who love to do zoomies and binkies. They currently have a baby bond, and we hope to rebond them once they've been neutered in April.

Victor and Hugo are not yet vaccinated for RHDV2.

Furby

Male, Adult
foster bunny
Furby came to WMRR heavily matted and unable to move on his own. After hours of grooming, we finally removed over two pounds of matted fur. With all the fur removed, Furby's body temperature dropped and we noticed his poops were stringy from ingesting fur, so we brought him for veterinary care. He is doing much better now in his foster home with his new best friend, a lovely feline named Bear.

Furby is vaccinated for RHDV2.

Cordelia

Female, Adult
Cordelia was brought to WMRR after she had been abandoned in an apartment basement. She is a sweet yet shy girl who is absolutely beautiful. Cordelia enjoys snuggles and having her lovely fur brushed. She also has a tendency toward GI stasis, likely due to neglect from before she came to WMRR. She is staying in a foster home that is able to handle her specialized medical needs.

Cordelia is fully vaccinated for RHDV2.
